A black lace mini with gorgeous floral
embroidery can be ideal on the beach or for a
late night soirée under the starry sky. Lace is a
hot favourite for the beach and in pale blue for
a simple A-line dress with large embroidered
flowers, it’s the perfect choice. The micro-mini in
khaki lace also makes a fashion statement when
it appears with a tiny-tiered skirt and embellished
neckline. For drama after dark, it’s the white, lacy,
off-shoulder mini that will be the showstopper on
the beach.
ONE-PIECE BEAUTIES
One-piece swimsuits are no longer boring and
staid; they have a look and design that creates
ripples not only in the water but also on the
fashion charts. Printed strappy one-pieces—
some with plunging necklines, tricky cut-
outs at the waist and ornate necklines—are
dramatic. The two-toned deep ‘U’ neckline
version or the seductive one with a perky bow
will be a hit on the beach. The simple deep
blue maillot under a printed cover or a bright
red halter version is dynamic in and out of
the water.
An interesting printed one-piece with floppy
sleeves is a great option for women who like to
keep their arms covered. The black and white
maillot is an evergreen offering, while a white/
pink one-shoulder swimsuit or a black one
with a provocative front lace insert and deep
armholes is a great option too. Printed ones
with cut-outs or a sensuous pink one with side
tie-ups gives an unusual fashion direction.
