CMAI Organises
Two-Day Free Eye Camp
for Workmen in Solapur
The Western Regional Committee of The Clothing Manufacturers Association of
India (CMAI) in association with the Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association
(SGMA) conducted a Two-day Free Eye Check-up Camp on March 14 and 15,
2019, for the Workmen of the Garment Units in and around Solapur.

a Two-day Free Eye Check-up Camp for
the Workmen of the Garment Units in and
around Solapur.
The Camp was organised at MIDC, Akkalkot
Road, Solapur on March 14 and 15, 2019,
between 10 AM and 5 PM.
The Eye Camp was inaugurated by
Mrs Chandrika Chauhan – President, Udyog
Vardhini, along with Mr R K Jaju – President,
SGMA by lighting the lamp in the presence of
Mr V M Kulkarni – Chairman, CSR Sub-
Committee, Members of CMAI Western Region,

Valvekar of Valvekar Eye Hospital.
Mr Amit Jain – Joint Secretary, SGMA
introduced the Chief Guest and CMAI Members
present from Mumbai and Pune who had come
to Solapur for the Eye Camp.
Inaugurating the Eye Camp, Mrs Chandrika
Chauhan appreciated the efforts of CMAI and
SGMA in conducting an Eye Camp at the
doorstep of the Workmen there by making
Workmen a part of their family. She also stated
that in the interest of the Female workforce,
there should be some units where only Female
workforce is employed.
Speaking at the Function, President, SGMA,
Mr R K Jaju, appreciated the efforts of CMAI
