LAKEVILLE WELCOMES you!

SUPPORT LOCAL, STENGTHEN LOCAL

T he Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is dedicated to connecting the business community to the people who live, shop, eat, work and play in Lakeville. As a catalyst, we concentrate on creating opportunities for professionals and businesses to work for the common good of the community. Our members believe that by working together, we can help cultivate the local business climate by recruiting and retaining businesses, attracting visitors, and using our combined influence for legislation that supports our goals.

The Chamber is a volunteer-driven business organization that strives to enhance member businesses by providing access to resources, services, educational programs, and network and marketing opportunities. With over 460 committed members, the Lakeville Chamber is recognized for its outstanding programs and valuable services.
As a private, non-profit, tax-paying corporation, the Chamber unites hundreds of businesses and professional firms, thus creating a unique central agency working to improve the Lakeville business climate. We advocate for members’ development and business interests contributing to a strong local economy.
The purpose of the OFFICIAL AREA GUIDE & CHAMBER MEMBER DIRECTORY is to promote the area by supporting the member businesses. It is your local resource and link to the business community, municipal and government services, organizations, schools, houses of worship, public library, tourist attractions and more. We encourage you to keep this magazine handy and utilize our website to shop local.

A WORD FROM OUR MAYOR

T he City of Lakeville is a thriving community that embraces growth while remembering and honoring our history. With a population of over 60,000 and growing at a rate among the fastest in the Twin Cities, we look forward to continued expansion in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors of our economy.

Among Lakeville’ s greatest assets are our residents who support our local economy, schools, parks and trails, and our business community. Our business environment includes everything from a historic downtown to numerous retail centers, to an industrial park with access to air, rail and freight services. We are proud that our city is home to
numerous corporate campus facilities, restaurants and a multitude of retail options.
We are blessed with significant educational and sports opportunities for children and adults. We love to celebrate our community with events like an arts festival and our annual community celebration called Panorama of Progress over the 4th of July week.
The City of Lakeville has housing options at all price points. New construction of single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments keep Lakeville as the number one issuer of building permits in the metropolitan Twin Cities area.
Lakeville is an ideal place to visit, shop, work and live. As a 34 year resident, I have witnessed exponential growth and know that our community is even greater now than when my family first moved here. I hope that whether you are coming here to spend your vacation, expand or build your business, or consider our community for your new home, that you will agree with me. www. lakevillechamber. org 3
