Minnesota River Heritage
Park . Nestled along the banks of
the Minnesota River, this 88-acre
living-history park explores the charms
and challenges of life in the Lower
Minnesota River Valley from the 1840s
to the 1890s. Visit the fur trader’s cabin
and learn how beaver pelts were
transformed into gold. Discover a
pioneer-era farmstead and see if you
have what it takes to carve a new life for
yourself on the frontier. Stroll the streets
of Eagle Creek - a recreated turn-of-
the-19th-century river town - and learn
about the daily life of its residents. Tour
highlighted historical buildings, watch
as costumed interpreters bring the past
alive during living history events or
try your hand at historic crafts. Check

schedules.
