2019-2020 IMA MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY Thank you for your support as a member of the IMA! Each and every member in this directory help make our association – and Minnesota’s iron mining industry – strong, THANK YOU! We are grateful to those who steer the IMA through their involvement in our association’s committees, which focus on topics like environment, safety and health, workforce and education, membership, and public information. If you’d like to get more involved with any of the committees, check out our committee page to find the committee chairs or contact our office to be registered for the committee updates! Thank you also to all those who have attended, sponsored, and otherwise shown support for our annual events, like the summer golf outing, winter curling event, and annual dinner in December – this year to be held at the Fortune Bay Resort Casino in Tower. Through these events, we hope you’ve made connections that will help Minnesota’s iron mining industry grow and prosper. We hope our IMA e-newsletter has kept you feeling up-to-date on matters regarding the legislature, steel tariffs, American iron mining and steelmaking, and the global market. Please let us know if there’s anything you’d like to see more or less of in our newsletter! Finally, a big thank you to the members that have volunteered their time to interact with the public at different events and speaking engagements over the past year. Our goal in the year ahead is to energize our membership to feel comfortable speaking up and advocating in support of our industry. Minnesota is a top five mining state in the nation because of iron mining. Our iron mines produce 40-45 million tons of ore each year, which accounts for over 85% of domestic iron ore. For more than 135 years, Minnesota’s iron mines have mined the ore that built, defended, and supported our nation – right next to some of the cleanest water in the nation. That’s because environmental stewardship is a core value of our industry. In Minnesota, former iron mine sites are now used for bike trails, golf courses, fishing and swimming lakes, and even sources of drinking water for local towns. The IMA is proud to represent YOU - the dedicated, responsible, innovative hardworking men and women who provide the majority of the nation’s iron ore safely - and we want to help spread the message of your important work. Thank you for your important work to keep this industry strong and prosperous. 2019-2020 Membership Directory | 3
