Mesabi Metallics is building a state-of-the-art open pit mining, concentrating, pelletizing, and
value-added plant. This started as a greenfield pellet plant project in northern Minnesota, on the
western end of the Biwabik Iron Formation (the Mesabi Range). The Mesabi Metallics facility is
located on approximately 32 square miles near Nashwauk, Minnesota, in Itasca County and has a
21,000 acre project boundary of which 6,600 acres are mineral land lease.
