Hallett Dock Company, established in 1959, is in the business of loading/unloading
and transshipping bulk commodities for the maritime industry on the Great Lakes. The
preponderance of the commodities we handle are for the iron ore industry on the Mesabi Iron
Range and upper Michigan. Hallett Dock Company has two (2) maritime facilities; one (1) in
Duluth, Minnesota and one (1) in Superior, Wisconsin. In addition, the company owns property
in West Duluth, the former Hallett Dock 6, upon which it has developed a rail yard to store 240
rail cars to await either the scrapping of these cars or placing them back in service when the
economy demands their service.

We Move the Earth. Hoover Construction Co. is a General Highway/Heavy Contractor which
specializes in earth moving. Hoover was established in 1956 and is a third generation family
owned business and is transitioning to the fourth generation. Our services include Aggregate
production; Civil Construction; Drilling and Blasting Rock for Quarries, Mines, Pipelines and other
construction; Earthen Dams; Equipment Rental; Overburden Stripping; Site Work, and State and
County Highways. Hoover is a member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of MN, Iron
Mining Association, Mining Minnesota, and the Pipe Line Contractor Association (PLCA).
