LETTER from the CHAIR What does Apple Valley mean to me? Apple Valley means home. I grew up here, I went to school here, I met my husband Eddie here, I had my first job here, and I fell in love with Real Estate here. We moved away for a while after high school and could not wait to get back to our hometown. This is home and I am honored to be part of this wonderful community. As we move into the year 2020 I find myself reflecting on the many changes that I have seen Apple Valley go through, as well as myself. I feel like I grew up WITH the town not just IN the town. So many changes and businesses that have come and gone and those that will be. Being an entrepreneur at heart, this town is inspiring to me and I see the great things that others have brought and others will continue to bring. Being involved with the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce has been and continues to be such a rewarding experience for me. I have met business associates that helped me grow in my professional career and made friends that I otherwise would have had no way of meeting and getting to know. I have had the opportunity to share my gifts as an Ambassador, a Gala committee member, Golf tournament committee member, and as a Board member. Helping people connect with the people they need to meet to grow their business, share their talents and strengths, and make new friends has been one of my greatest joys. If you have not had an opportunity to attend many events, I encourage you to step out and attend a Business After Hours event or Coffee Connection - you never know who you’ll meet! This directory will help guide you when you need to make those decisions as well. When you need to find new vendors or services, take a look in this book.
