101 on CHAMBERS AFFILIATION IS APPLE VALLEY CHAMBER (AVCC) A SUBSIDIARY OF MINNESOTA OR U.S. CHAMBER? NO. U.S. CHAMBER in Washington D.C. and MINNESOTA CHAMBER in St. Paul have no affiliation with us at all other than that we are members of theirs just as you might join them. WHAT ABOUT THE CHAMBERS SURROUNDING US? NO affiliation nor connection. Minneapolis & St. Paul have no reach south of the river. There are six south of the river Chambers, including us who are all independent non- profit Chambers. The LARGEST Chamber south of the river is LAKEVILLE CHAMBER as far as revenue. Next is DAKOTA COUNTY REGIONAL CHAMBER (DCR) with more members. They have several cities including Eagan, Rosemount, Farmington, West St. Paul and a few very small towns. DCR is regional in the sense of representing the cities they represent, but us other chambers have the political influence in our respect ive cities and solely represent our communities. T here are three other very strong Chambers around us. RIVER HEIGHTS CHAMBER (serves Inver Grove Heights & South St. Paul), BURNSVILLE CHAMBER and HASTINGS CHAMBER which ar e all great Chambers and influential. River Heights Chamber is the oldest at 115 years. All of us south Chambers have excellent revenues due to strong membership bases in each city and strong support from our respective Mayors, Councils, County Commissioners and Legislators within our respective boundaries. We also annually co-host a 6-Chamber joint Business After Hours which we hosted the last two years. We jointly support MINNESOTA CHAMBER’S efforts at the Capitol as well as their Grow Minnesota Retention Program. South of the River area is very fortunate to have 6 very strong and independent Chambers helping each city build our region into one of the fastest growing areas of Minnesota.
