INDUSTRY NEWS AMAP Gearing Up for 20th Anniversary Celebration at Conference & Workshop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Industry leaders and technology experts to come together to showcase and share relevant industry info The Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP) will hold its 20th Annual Conference & Workshop at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Febru- ary 5–7, 2019. The conference brings together asphalt industry leaders and technology experts to showcase advances in asphalt modifica- tion technologies and to provide relevant marketing, regula- tory, and technical information essential for modified asphalt producers, contractors, agencies, and suppliers to effectively manage their businesses. Lt. General (retired) William “Gus” Pagonis will present the keynote address on leadership. He will also conduct a seminar on how to develop effective strategies and tactics to achieve the mission of an organization. The three-day conference includes a “build-your-own-work- shop” technical program that allows attendees to design an individualized schedule tailored to their needs. Professional credit hours will be offered for introductory and advanced courses addressing asphalt binders, roofing products, rheol- ogy, warm mix applications, and other topics. Additionally, the tabletop exhibit area will showcase more than 30 compa- nies and their technologies related to asphalt. Founded in 1997, AMAP is dedicated to the development, production, and use of modified asphalts. The association promotes technical research, education, production, and planning assistance.
