Be human.
Make eye contact, shake hands, use first names. Avoid in-
vading personal space. Don’t hide under the table. Pretty
straightforward.
Take advantage of social media.
Speaking of being human, while you’re rubbing shoulders
with prospects and other industry leaders, take pictures and
share them on social media. Be sure to tag their companies
(it’s good social media etiquette and also lets you borrow
their online reach because their followers see your post as
well), and don’t be afraid to be silly and utilize that coveted
human element to the fullest!
Be welcoming.
When at your booth don’t just sit there and look bored.
Stand up, look alive and welcome people into your booth
by focusing the conversation on them.
Arrange with purpose.
Consider setting up your booth so you’re table isn’t just sit-
