my favorite issues. Not only do
you get to see what’s new and
shiny, you get to see trends and tradi-
tions. That is to say, we see what’s new
and what is tried and true. Some things
are better left alone, right? This month,
I’d like to share some insight on what
you need to be looking for and asking

Do your research. You know what’s
most important to you. We are in an
age where information is king. When
talking to the dealer or manufacturer
about a certain model, make sure that
the features and benefits being offered
have value to you and your scope of
work. For example, every other con-
tractor in your area believes that option

Putting the product support team to the
test before the purchase is an excellent way
to make sure they are prepared when you
need them the most.

“x” is the be all, end all, but you know
that for your day to day work, option
“y” makes the most sense. Dealers to-
day do a great job in stocking the cor-
rect configurations but each scenario is
different. Don’t be afraid to ask why a
certain option might add value to your
jobs.
