NORTH :
• Crime was reduced in the North District by 7 %.
° The district experienced a 1 % increase in crimes against persons .
° Property crimes decreased by 13 % with burglary of motor vehicles trending down 32 %.
• Officers conducted Walk the Blocks where they engaged the community with violence reduction initiatives to restore community policing efforts .
• The North District had several Coffee with a Cop events that partnered with the Arlington I . S . D ., crime watch groups , and citizens .
EAST :
• Crime was reduced in the East District by 8 %.
° Violent Crime was reduced by 4 % including a 3 % reduction in Aggravated Assaults .
° Robbery offenses were reduced by 26 %.
• Developed a comprehensive Parking Compliance Reform
program that was instituted citywide . The program was developed based on citizen stakeholder input and supported by the Mayor and Council .
• Increased Community Engagement by developing a new Community Watch Group and enhancing partnerships with faith based groups .
WEST :
• Crime was reduced in the West District by 6 %. ° Crimes Against Persons decreased by 5 %
° Property Crimes decreased by 1 %
• Despite the pandemic , officers continued to foster
relationships with the community and focus on geographic policing .
• Officers noticed a trend in violent and property crime in beat 370 and were able to make several significant arrests which resulted in an overall decrease in criminal offenses in the area .
SOUTH :
• Crime was reduced in the South District by 13 %. ° Crimes Against Persons were reduced by 6 %.
° Crimes Against Property was reduced by 16 %, including a reduction in the Robbery category by 17 %
and a reduction in the Burglary category by 20 %..
• Coordinated with the Parks and Recreation Department to address disturbances at S . J . Stovall Park .
• Utilized virtual platforms to enhance community engagement opportunities during the national pandemic .
