Mounted Unit
The Mounted Unit performs at various civic and department functions throughout North Texas. Team members have
other primary duties and serve in the unit as an ancillary duty assignment. In 2019, the unit attended 52 events. The unit
is one of the most visible functions of the department that the community gets to see on an ongoing basis. Recruiting is
enhanced by having the department represented by the Mounted Unit.
