Crimes Prevention Act Forum in Washington D.C. in October. The Department of Justice is working with the department
on expanding hate crimes training originally developed by Arlington, to be shared nationally.

by Mothers Against
Drunk Driving (MADD)
at the 2019 Awards
Luncheon. Officer Wilson
received the Enforcement
Hero Award for making
over 150 DWI arrests.
Officer Brown (Lt. Jeff
Pugh stood in for her during ceremony) received the Commitment to
Youth Hero Award for conducting over 126 educational sessions with
teens and young adults. Officer Hinson received the Commitment
Hero Award for exemplifying a strong overall commitment to DWI
Education.

his participation and
organization of the Hale
Elementary Daddy-
Daughter Dance. At this
event, officers stand in the
place of a father for girls
that come from a single-
parent household.
Professional staff employees Nancy Green
and Anita Tye volunteer every Thursday
in 2019 with Meals on Wheels, delivering
meals to Arlington homebound individuals.
Each week, approximately 10-12 residents
are served.
