Department employees are recognized for their achievements during the Annual Awards Banquet .
MARCH
With the Running Man Challenge sweeping across the country , the department debuted their own version of the dance video to the community .
AUGUST
Community event at Destiny Point Church focused on youth and police interactions and fostered a better understanding and mutual trust between officers and teens .
JULY
APD was one of 15 agencies selected to advance 21 st Century Policing strategies and hosted several dignitaries that visited and evaluated our processes .
