will automatically start recording.
All marked units are equipped
with these systems which consist
of over 200 camera systems.
The department also launched
a body-worn camera pilot project
on October 2, 2015. APD has 82
officers enrolled in the project and
the study is being conducted by
the Police Executive
Research Forum
(PERF). PERF is
examining the impact
of body-worn cameras
on citizen complaints,
use-of-force incidents,
and community
perceptions of police.
