A
s the national dialogue
consumed the country
on police-community
relations, the department seized
the opportunity to take a critical
look at what programs and
initiatives could be put into place
to ensure that Arlington’s overall
community health remained
strong. Having a solid foundation
with the city’s youth translates
into greater trust and improved
neighborhood
vitality.
The
department
invested
heavily into a
new initiative
called,
“Mentoring
Arlington Youth” (MAY) Program.
