Key Performance Metrics - Data Socioeconomic Values Of the seven cities selected, Arlington has one of the highest education attainment rates with 84.3% of the population, 25 years or older possessing a high school diploma or higher. Most cities surveyed maintained an average median household income between $50,000 and $54,000. The exceptions to this rule are Dallas and Plano. Arlington’s poverty rate is consistent in relation to the size of the city. Poverty rate is based on the percentage of the population whose income in the past 12 months is below poverty levels.
