Corporal Dick Hill, lovingly known
CORPORAL DICK HILL by many as“ Motorcycle Mike”, is already an Arlington institution in the eyes of his coworkers and community. Now, his legend continues to grow as he reaches a milestone that few APD officers have ever achieved. In the fall of 2024, Cpl. Hill celebrated 50 years of service to the City of Arlington – and he shows no signs of slowing down!
As a student-athlete at the University of Texas at Arlington, Cpl. Hill developed a deep connection with the American Dream City. His talents initially took him to the NFL where he played for the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. He joined the Arlington Police Family in 1974 and has spent 48 years as a part of the Motors Unit.
