The Dallas Cowboys invited APD officers and hundreds of first responders from across the state to join them in commemorating 9 / 11 .
AUGUST
Police , Fire , EMS , and Dispatch were recognized at the Texas Rangers First Responders Game , supporting the Peace Officers ' Angels Foundation .
OCTOBER
APD Honor Guard debuted the " Pink Patch " as a fundraiser for the M . D . Anderson Breast Cancer Center in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month .
DECEMBER
APD held its 37th annual Santa Cops Event where members of the department and community picked out toys based on requests received through the school district and officers .
NOVEMBER
The now traditional “ We Care Brunch ” brought together APD and community partners in efforts to assist unsheltered individuals in the community . Guests were provided with supplies and connected with housing assistance resources .
