On behalf of all the employees of the Arlington Police Department I am pleased to share our 2022 Annual Report . This past year has been filled with many highs and several challenges , but we worked every day to strengthen our legitimacy within the community through relational policing . We grew and enhanced our organization through the introduction of new programs , the implementation of new technology and continued community engagement . This report serves as a way for us to share our story of the incredible things going on at APD . It showcases our Behavioral Health Law Enforcement Unit which was created to provide additional tools and resources for officers working with those in our community facing challenges related to behavioral health needs . We also get to share stories and pictures of our youth and community engagement , be it with child seat safety training and seat giveaways , or events with the Boys & Girls Club .
As Chief of Police it is an honor to lead this agency and serve the Arlington Community . We will always embrace opportunities to learn and grow , but I remain exceedingly proud of the courageous and compassionate work being done every day by APD .
I look forward to building mutually engaged relationships that will ensure continued success for the City of Arlington .
