SHOWCASE : WOMEN ’ S LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM
Women in law enforcement , both sworn and non-sworn , gathered in December for the Women ’ s Leadership Symposium , a day of camaraderie , inspiration mentoring , and education . The full-day event was a great success . A diverse mix of successful women leaders discussed topics with attendees relevant to today ’ s complex issues facing women serving in varying law enforcement roles .
Women in positions of leadership , including Chiefs of Police , Deputy Chiefs , and women in other public safety roles shared their personal stories of success and challenges they have faced in their careers . Those attending took away new insights in furthering their career goals , and gained new friends and mentors .
