Police Foundation
The mission of the Arlington Police Foundation is to help further the department ’ s goal of a safer city . In addition , the Foundation provides financial assistance to deserving law enforcement related community projects .
With limited events taking place throughout 2020 , the Foundation continued to provide support and resources to the Arlington Police
Department by the funding of a Six Flags Scenario Training meal , purchase of I Love a Cop for each family attending the Academy Family Night , funding of the Academy Family Night dinner , scholarship funds for two Hometown Recruiting graduates , and funding the Annual Awards Ceremony .
On January 17 , 2020 , the Arlington Police Foundation partnered with the department and VANS Shoe Company to provide 200 new pairs of shoes to 3rd , 4th , 5th and 6th graders at Lynn Hale Elementary . Nearly nine out of every ten students come from economically-disadvantaged households . This program continues to support the Bridge Kids Program where officers serve as mentors while walking kids home from school .
The Arlington Police Foundation is a charitable organization that comprises community leaders who give their time and talent to supporting the mission , vision , and values of the Arlington Police Department .
