TV SHOW OR MOVIE DESCRIBES WORK / LIFE BALANCE: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. COFFEE OR COCKTAIL: Red Wine – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. FAVORITE NEW DENVER RESTAURANT: Matsuhisa in Cherry Creek. FAVORITE NON-RESTAURANT DENVER SPOT: I love to go to the Zoo with my toddler. She has such a love of animals and I have the best time watching her explore. NEXT BIG THING IN APARTMENT LIVING? Micro Units My first apartment in Denver was a studio on Poet’ s Row with huge closets. My bed lived right next to the radiator and I overlooked the always green pool, but I loved it. I think the next generation of renters, much like the younger version of me, want to spend as little as possible on rent, live central and play hard. WHY APARTMENTS? The apartment industry has given me a large platform to spread my social mission. We have the unique opportunity to touch a lot of lives each day in a lot of different ways. Providing homes is rewarding in and of itself, but this industry, at least I’ ve found in Colorado, is so committed to supporting the greater community. With groups like Family Homestead, Project Access, Urban Peak and CWEE at the center of our focus at BLDG there are endless opportunities to give back and many industry leaders eager to participate. WRITE A FORTUNE COOKIE FORTUNE: Actually, I recently wrote a fortune cookie message for my husband( who collects assortments of pens and other“ junk” that clutters my home) –“ Hoard not lest you be hoarded.” For the record, he laughed, but his pen collection continues to grow... SUPER HERO POWER: If I had to pick just one … I would be able to fly. If I could fly I would get so much done! NEW TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE JOB EASIER: Email is a great tool, but I feel like it can be overused or abused. I think limiting the use of this technology or better utilizing the technology we have would make us more effective at our jobs. NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR BETTER RESIDENT RETENTION: I love Lobby Display and I think keeping residents informed reinforces the relationships that we work hard to develop. MOST SIGNIFICANT TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT IN THE INDUSTRY: The, multi-tasking amazement of the smart phone. You can text, facetime and emoji your way to a lease and customer engagement. It’ s brilliant. YOUR FIRST APARTMENT: My first apartment was in San Antonio, Texas. We moved from our little farmhouse in the country to be closer to my father’ s work and closer to family. We didn’ t stay long, but I just remember it being so different than anything I had ever experienced. I learned how to ride a bike in the parking lot and ran away from home for the first time. NEW WAYS TO LOOK FOR NEW TALENT: This business is about the people and without great people your product suffers. Hiring right is an art, not a science, and we work through a lengthy process to peel pack the layers in an effort to find exceptional talent who embody our values. KEEPS YOU UP AT NIGHT: Right now … a very active baby kicking me in the ribs – which gives me the opportunity to check in on our social media and reputation management efforts. STORE IN MALL TO FIND NEW TALENT: Hands down, Express! Our amazing team loves to shop there and they say great minds think alike.

NEXT BIG THING IN APARTMENT LIVING? rue urban living, with amenities such as bike stations, electric car chargers, and dog wash stations. WHY APARTMENTS?
