AAMD Hosts Lakewood Mayor Roundtable

AAMD and Lakewood community members listen to newly elected Mayor Adam Paul on April 1.

The Apartment Association of Metro Denver hosts frequent Mayor’ s Roundtables around the Denver Metro Area. In the past, we have hosted discussions in Northglenn, Englewood, Thornton, Denver and Wheat Ridge. This quarter, the Association hosted a Mayor’ s Roundtable in Lakewood at the Westlink at Oak Station Apartments, which is managed by Greystar. The roundtable took place on Friday, April 1st.

AAMD members from the Lakewood area and those who wanted to attend and meet city leadership joined in the event. Newly elected Mayor Adam Paul led the discussion and was joined by several of his City Council colleagues, as well as several staff members from the city. This roundtable focused on multifamily housing de-
velopment, vacancy rates, affordable housing and Lakewood’ s Crime Free Housing program. Overall, the goal was to provide our members the chance to build relationships with their city leadership and open the dialogue to foster future discussions. This forum also allowed Mayor Paul to share his vision for the city and discuss current issues pertinent to the industry.
The Apartment Association of Metro Denver plans to host the next roundtable discussion in Aurora. If you are interested in meeting your city leadership, please let us know.
