Join the AAMD Ambassador Committee
Join the Ambassadors of AAMD in welcoming new members
into the Association. This group meets once a month and contact all the new members.
“As an ambassador I enjoy helping new members succeed
in the association by meeting them at events and introducing
them to people as well as helping them get involved in the right
events to get the best value out of their membership,” said Kim
Bazemore of the Roof & Gutter Guys.
You may have seen the Ambassadors at events. They wear
a gold ambassador badge and they try to make sure everyone
at the event is engaged and feels welcome.
Judy Houchins of Legacy Partners has been the chair of
Ambassadors for the past two years. “I love seeing the faces
light up and hearing the success stories from the ambassador
who has helped connect a new member,” she said.

The Red Cross has a new, allinclusive Emergency App that provides people with instant access to
emergency alerts and life-saving
information.
The Emergency App is the onedownload resource that puts vital
information at your fingertips. This “all-inclusive” app combines
more than 35 different severe weather and emergency alerts from
natural to man-made, giving you real-time information to help
keep you and your loved ones safe.
The Red Cross Emergency app is highly customizable and
informative. Choose the alerts that are important to your location.
Monitor activity across the country to know when incidents are
about to occur in the locations of your family and friends. Activate
“Family Safe” to notify loved ones that an alert has been issued
in their area and check to see if they are safe. Access vital information on what to do before, during and after an emergency
strikes. Whether it’s a hurricane or earthquake, heat wave, blizzard or more, Emergency keeps you in the know and prepared
to respond.
