Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest
brings in over $1k for Charity
T
he 2015 AAMD Ugly Sweater and Comedy Night brought together over 100
members, in a fun and laid back way to
network and celebrate the holidays. The
event started with happy hour and the famous “walk
the cat-walk” Ugly Sweater competition. 8 men and
8 women were selected by the Networking Council
leadership and ultimately, Stephanie Pacelko from
ConAm Colorado and Brandon Reed from Career
Strategies were the Ugly Sweater Champions. Each
received a $50 gift card and the title of Ugliest
Sweater of 2015.

All of the net proceeds from the event were
donated to the Father Woody’s | Haven of Hope,
totally $1100. The Mission of Father Woody’s is to
provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, rehabilitation and hygienic services to the homeless and
indigent men and women in Denver with no judgement. They treat each guest with respect, dignity
and a friendly face. They do not receive any government funds and rely solely on donations and grants.

To finish off the evening, members were treated
to three local comedians at Comedy Works Landmark. And in true holiday spirit, several members
enjoyed a nightcap after the show, exchanging laughter and stories of the year past. The Networking
Council leadership is thankful for the support of
the members for attending the evening and look
forward to the 2016 Power Events.
