Accelerating sustainability – towards 2030
To support this ambition, Constance Hospitality unveiled a newly refined CSR policy this year, in keeping with the hotel group’ s ongoing efforts. Taking the general public as its audience, the new policy provides a better understanding of the Group’ s actions and is structured around eight strategic pillars. These pillars include climate-focused action, biodiversity protection, inclusive hospitality, raising customer awareness, and a responsible purchasing policy.
The policy also demonstrates how every aspect of service within the Group is designed with eco-responsibility in mind. Each establishment has its own programme, tailored to its specific characteristics. The results are clear:“ Since 2020, we have launched more than 165 initiatives that have had an impact across our resorts, reduced our plastic footprint by 3.3 tonnes, cut our greenhouse gas emissions by 20 % and involved more than 4,700 people in our environmental and social projects,” summarises Andrew Milton, Chief Operations Officer at Constance Hospitality.

Ten years of sustainable excellence rewarded
In 2025, six of the Constance Hotels & Resorts brand’ s properties, received the prestigious Green Globe Platinum * certification. This honour recognises a decade of environmental leadership and operational excellence. As the first Mauritian hotel group to achieve this level of international recognition, Constance Hospitality is proud to stand for the collective responsibility of the hotel industry. The Group’ s mission is“ to preserve the ecosystems that make the Indian Ocean so rich and to build a future where luxury and sustainability are so entwined that they cannot be separated,” explains CEO Jean-Jacques Vallet.
Because travellers have an integral role in creating change, Constance Hotels & Resorts encourages them to become active players in sustainability. Whether through the Group’ s environmental awareness programmes, projects for the restoration of coral reefs or the reforestation of mangroves, or promoting contact with local culture, its initiatives aim to restore a connection with the natural world while preserving the environments in which the hospitality group operates.
What does the future hold for luxury hotels? That’ s being decided now; with its sustainable vision, concrete initiatives and leadership, Constance Hospitality is already shaping what that future will look like.
