Leadership
of
this
year’s
conference
looked
a
bit
different
than
previous
AORE
conferences.
The
program
managers
at
the
University
of
Maryland
wanted
to
give
the
student
trip
leaders
of
the
adventure
program
an
opportunity
to
apply
their
skills
and
talents
to
the
planning
and
delivery
of
the
AORE
conference.
We
trust
our
students
to
plan
and
deliver
quality
adventure
education
trips
for
their
fellow
students
in
wild
and
remote
places
with
harsh
consequences
and
inspiring
rewards,
so
we
wanted
to
give
them
the
challenge
to
plan
the
ultimate
adventure
trip;
hosting
a
national
conference.
The
student
leadership
team,
with
the
support
of
professional
staff
from
the
University
of
Maryland’s
Campus
Recreation
Services,
collaborated
with
the
National
Office,
BOD
and
members
of
each
of
