2018 SPRING
SELECTION AUCTION
As is customary, the AACCP held its Spring
Selection auction at “La Estrella” Polo Club,
counting on several novel situations worth
mentioning.
Every year fillies in halters of between 1 and a ½ to
2 and a ½ years were being auctioned, and as a
result of offers by several breeders it was decided
that it should be a combination of tamed mares
between 3 and 4 years of age and Fillies in Halters
of 2 to 3 years, in response to a growing demand
in this sense, where offering up for sale well-tamed

mares had become necessary in order to shorten
the time it takes buyers to get a polo-playing mare.
17 mares were put up for sale, of which 9 were
already tamed; all well developed and in good
condition; correct as regards conformation and
with no visible injuries.
The conclusion of this experience was positive,
with aspects that may be improved for next time.
