TRAINING COURSES ORGANIZED BY THE AACCP
Course for Grooms
REALICÓ
The course for grooms took place for the first time at the School of the Foundation of the Argentine Rural Association, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Agro-Industry. This was promoted by Mrs. Adela Nores, Director of the Association, and held by the Staff of the Argentine Association of Polo Pony Breeders, made up of Dr. Martín Ghezzi and Dr. Guillermo Buchanan.
We wish to emphasize the interest shown by students in wanting to incorporate knowledge regarding different ways of managing the horse according to different practices. We also wish to thank all the School staff who made us feel so at home. We had a good amount of attendees and with the assistance of Dr. Alberto Pedro Heguy, who contributed horses for practices, as well as tack and even sent one of his assistants, groom Elías Carballo, who worked shoulder to shoulder with everyone else and helped out during the whole course.
After sharing with students the closure of the Course, Santiago Ballester, President of the AACCP, wrote the following lines:“ Today I handed out diplomas and graded the youngsters of the first Course for Grooms at the Argentine Rural Association school of Relicó, La Pampa. This first course was carried out through an agreement between the SRA and the Ministry of Agro-Industry and the AACCP. It was a group of 17 attendees who in turn are students at the School, and one of their teachers also attended. Throughout those five days I was able to observe so much dedication and vocation. It is very gratifying to find young people with so much dedication and vocation towards the horse in the interior, which is what I felt when grading. I wish to extend my special thanks to Alberto Pedro Heguy and his groom, Elías Carballo, and we hope to return next year”.
