Like an Ellerstina branch-office Patricio Paz

This story begins 7 years ago in Aragón, Trancas, Tucumán, our place in the world. It is a farm of our own with good conditions for breeding, situated 1,200 Kms. away from the Capital of Polo, a place we chose to make our dream of breeding polo ponies come true.
Driven by the steadfast support of Gonzalo Pieres, his sons and all the Ellerstina organization, we embarked on this marvelous experience and life style. For over 10 years we were given the chance to become a part of Ellerstina, an organization in which day by day we were able to receive training, learn from people renowned in this activity, and above all interpret what Gonzalo Pieres instilled in us as regards professionalism, and which we apply in our work today.
We are convinced that despite the adversity that we face daily at Aragón— the same that other breeders from our province and the interior of our country must put up with, such as distance from the Capital of Polo; lack of a trained workforce; scarcity of professionals related to the activity, among others— we have managed, with great effort, dedication; tenacity and love of horses and polo, to build an organization which we are proud to say, provides Ellerstina with polo- playing ponies.
Today at Aragón, we can safely say that we were able to make our dream come true of creating an integrated breeding, yearling, taming and training organization for polo ponies in partnership with whom we consider the best polo organization in the world. Looking forward always; working hard and dreaming a lot with being able to see our products competing at the highest level of polo.
Our ongoing goal is to achieve state-of- the-art genetics, both in stallions and donors, in order to be able to have products capable of competing at the highest level of this sport, the evolution of which we perceive year after year.
Lastly, one of the most important things we learned was to enhance the human capital, which in Tucumán has been a huge obstacle. It was necessary invest largely in training professionals such as vets, farriers, tamers and the staff working on the farm every day.
We wish to thank Gonzalo Pieres; his sons; my mentor, Claudio Pérez and Ellerstina for having put their faith in us and for their enormous genetic contribution to our organization. Also the AACCP and all its members who for a long time have so generously approached our beloved province with a strong commitment to support the activity, and which we consider an essential link in our organization; and our people of Aragón and all the Paz family for their commitment, hard work and for having put their heart into this project, which demands no less.
