“We saw many mares with very “I found horses with great

sensitivity.”
How did you feel this year being a judge at the
rural exhibition?
Well, we had very cold, rainy days, and on the day
of the Grand Champions it was a bit better, but the
important thing was the level of the Polo Argentino
Breed products.
What can you highlight regarding the horses
presented?
I’ve always liked the Polo Argentino ponies. For the
last two to three years we are seeing mares with
very good mouths, which is what we beheld on the
central arena: many mares with sensitive mouths;
top notch, and this is very important because I be-
lieve there is a lot in store for the future.
What was your perception of the Polo Argentino
ponies at La Rural?
The level was very good; I found horses with great
sensitivity and very docile and we had a great time.
You had several categories and many horses.
Was the selection very hard work?
Actually, yes. But we are used to that; this is what
we do and we always mount many horses which
makes it possible to select the best and in this way
hand out the prizes.
How did you get on with each other?
Very well. We know each other well and we agreed
when the time came to select the winners.
You were asked to be judge on a very special year,
the Anniversary of the Argentine Rural Association…
As members of the AACCP we are proud to be a part
of the celebrations of La Rural’s 150 th Anniversary, an
institution that is always there to help and with which
we must collaborate, working every day and listening
to alternatives or proposals made by breeders, La
Rural and everyone else in order to continue to grow.
