Tortugas Open 2015 La Dolfina celebrated their win at the first Triple Crown tournament , and Fax Cherokee was nominated Best Polo Argentino Pony of the Final . This Polo Argentino pony had already been nominated at two of the Tortugas play-off matches .
Fax Cherokee has had a great Tortugas Open , she was nominated twice : at the third meeting , after the match between La Dolfina and Chapaleufú and at the fifth , when La Dolfina eliminated Alegría from the tournament .
La Dolfina , twice champion and defender of the AAP Triple Crown , obtained its seventh consecutive High-Goal title in Argentina by winning the traditional Emilio de Anchorena Cup at the Tortugas Country Club Open and the prize to Best Polo Argentino Pony of the final went to Fax Cherokee . The team from Cañuelas obtained its 27th . consecutive win in high-goal tournaments when they beat Ellerstina Piaget 11-9 and celebrated on the podium . “ Fax Cherokee is a great mare . She ’ s very complete . I remember when Bob Jornayvaz bought her and I tried her out and she wasn ’ t very fast . After that I didn ’ t play her any more and it was Robert — Bob ’ s son — who played her and liked her Then I tried her again and realized that she had all that is needed to play this level of polo ”, said Adolfo Cambiaso at the pony lines surrounded by friends and horse fans . Fax Cherokee received the award to Best Polo Argentino Pony of the Final at the prize giving . The judges were : Pepe Heguy and Eduardo Novillo Astrada , and Mariano González was arbitrator . Fax Cherokee was born on September 9th . 2005 and is daughter of Nómade and Fax Cheeta . Her grand-dam on her mother ’ s side is Pumita , and belongs to Valiente , of La Manada S . A . bloodstock .
