The G . I . Joe , Masters of the Universe , Transformers , and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collections are similarly impressive . They encompass nearly complete runs of figures , variants , and rarities from some of the most popular toy lines of the last 40 years .
Nearly every item is Action Figure Authority ( AFA ) graded and at the top tier regarding condition . In the early years of his collecting journey Jacob bought ungraded toys so that he could thoroughly inspect them before making the purchase . He hunted at local toy shows and conventions where he could look at each piece to find Mint examples of toys .
“ I have seen some of the videos that Jeff has put up of his collection on YouTube in the past . The one thing that stood out to me , over the scale and vast size of his collection , is the strive for exceptionally high grades ,” Cope said . “ I believe he was only accepting AFA 85 grades or above for his loose figure collection , and the [ Mint On Card ] collection was in the same ballpark too if I ’ m not mistaken . There is quite a jump in quality and condition from an AFA 80 to an AFA 85 , so to have such a focus on quality is quite dedicated and exceptional .”
