Coals From Newcastle. A word from the Editor.

Welcome to the first edition of the Antipodean SteamGuild Journal. If you are reading this I presume you have an interest in the Steampunk and Neo-Victorian communities in Australia and New Zealand, and if not, then you may find something new.

What we are trying to do is create a magazine for the local Steampunk community that is about and for us. That being said, if any Neo-Victorians anywhere in the world want to write or read, we are more than happy to include you.

A lot of the world's steampunk news comes from Europe or The Americas, this publication is from the Southern Hemisphere. Much will be similar, but hopefully, some not.

The ASGJ will be put together entirely by volunteers, and we hope to have an edition out twice a year. If you have ever wanted to write about what you do in the steampunk community, feel free to contact us and send us your contributions.
