K-12 student education for the majority of our families is provided by St. Francis School District # 15. Students from the Southwest corner of the city attend Anoka-Hennepin School District # 11 schools.
Our residents are protected by paid on-call firefighters at two Fire stations, the Anoka County Sheriff’ s Department, and by Allina Ambulance service.
Area Senior’ s enjoy the company of others at the Senior Center. The Oak Grove Senior Mutual Assistance Club meets at the center on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday’ s of each month.
They also have a few planned events each year that take them to venues outside of Oak Grove.
The City of Oak Grove is governed by the City Council, consisting of a mayor and four council members. Council meetings are held on the second and last Monday’ s of each month starting at 7:00 pm. Residents may address the Council at any regular scheduled meeting. The Council appoints member to Commissions that provide recommendations and information to the City Council on a variety of issues.
