Andover
The City of Andover is an exciting place to live, do business and enjoy the scenic rural atmosphere of a growing suburban community with a population exceeding 33,000. Once a well-kept secret of Anoka County, Andover is a predominantly residential community with abundant parks, trails and recreational areas. As a relatively young demographically characterized community, businesses have room to expand with their pick of a highly skilled and educated workforce.
In addition to the many natural amenities, Andover is located 20 miles north of Minneapolis where a cosmopolitan mix of activities such as shopping, universities, athletic events, theater, arts and other entertainment

exists. Several new residential projects have been developed that provide the opportunity for a choice of urban or rural services. Commercial activities have increased with the construction of new businesses throughout the City including 304 Bakery, Resemble Barbers, Chase Bank, and Holiday Gas Station.
Andover City Center Complex is located at 1685 Crosstown Blvd. NW and is home to the City Offices, Public Works, Senior Center and the Andover YMCA Community Center.
A partnership between the City of Andover and the YMCA provides the community with the Andover YMCA Community Center. The City of Andover operates an indoor ice arena, sports complex, indoor walking track, meeting rooms, field house, and an indoor golf simulator. The YMCA leases a portion of the building providing their members with use of the aquatics and fitness center.
Andover is served by a full-time Police Department through a contract with the Anoka County Sheriff’ s Department. A professional volunteer Fire Department also serves this community from three strategically located Fire Stations. The City complex sports over 40 acres of play fields and playground equipment and serves as a central congregation point for many community activities including the annual Andover Family Fun Fest in July.
