Jail Ministry Report
As we are closing in on another year, it is with a very heavy heart I am writing this
report to let you know this will be our final year of leadership with the Bold Going
Jail Ministry. Our chaplain, Brother Herb Conley, and I are stepping own due to
health problems. We appreciate all the help and prayers we have had over the
past 40 years. We love all of you!
Our dedicated volunteers minister to many, many inmates each year in all
different aspects and in any way to be helpful. Our Soul Drive this past December
saw 86 souls saved and 84 re-dedications. We praise the Lord for these! God is
still blessing the ministry. We appreciate all your prayers and support.
We will be collecting new white socks, stamped Christmas cards and postage
stamps (since some cards are not stamped). We can also use wrapped hard
candies for this season.
It has become very difficult and less time has been given to the ministry at the
Justice Center. It is hard to witness to so many inmates when you have a
limitation of 50 minutes. We really need your prayers for this ministry.
We appreciate our churches, Baptist women, the Golden State Missions offering
and the Gideons for our Bibles and other items. We thank anyone and everyone
who gives or has given in the past. Our thanks to Dimple Cox and the CrossNet
office staff for all their help. Thanks so very much to everyone!
We truly appreciate everything that has been done to help in our ministry. We
love you all and God bless.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Dykes
