internal quality assurance system.
> The School of Medicine and Health
Sciences was renamed the Jeffrey
Cheah School of Medicine and
Health Sciences. The School also
graduated its first batch of
medical students.
2013
> Four multidisciplinary research
platforms were formed in areas
strategic to the development of
Malaysia: advanced engineering,
halal ecosystem, social and
economic transformation in Asia, and
tropical medicine and biology.
> Several key facilities were developed,
including laboratories for genomics,
neurobusiness, and nano-analytical
and bioimaging research.
> The newly built Monash Sports
Centre offered offices for MUSA, a
gym, two large badminton halls and
fields for sports activities.
2016
> The Genomics Facility was awarded
ISO 9001:2008 certification.
> The Library and Learning Commons
underwent a 20% expansion.
> The Department of Psychology was
launched 10 years after its introductory
program.
> A joint research and training laboratory
focussing on proteomics, metabolomics
and multi-omics in life sciences was
established in collaboration with Agilent
Technologies.
> The Global Asia in the 21st Century
research platform was formed.
