Tap into Original Research On Teacher
Buying Habits
In June 2013, the association released its
popular 2013 Retail Market Awareness Study
estimating that public school teachers spent
$3.2 billion in educational products in the
2012-2013 school year, $1.6 billion of it from
their own pockets. This study reports on
teachers’ knowledge of parent-teacher stores,
including their spending patterns, funding
sources, shopping preferences, and factors
that influence their purchasing decisions.
The survey results were picked up in national
media including U.S. News & World Report.
Year-Round Education Via Webinars
EDmarket members were presented with
several opportunities for year-round learning
outside the tradeshows with webinars on
Integrating Technology into the classroom; The
World of Licensed Merchandise; Integrating
Safety Features into a School; The Power of
Branding; and Increasing Your Store’s Sales
Through Teacher Professional Development
In addition, webinars were presented to
companies exhibiting at both EDspaces and
EDexpo to increase quality booth traffic. These
webinars gave first time exhibitors and past
exhibitors insight into new attendees and ways
for exhibitors to stand out on the exhibit floor.
