Advisory Council
The Ford’s Theatre Advisory Council is composed of nationally recognized historians, writers and performing
artists who all share a love of President Abraham Lincoln and the values he exemplified in his life and presidency.
These accomplished individuals provide insight, expertise and invaluable suggestions to the leadership of Ford’s
Theatre as we continually seek to improve the excellence of our programming.
“I love working at Ford’s. We have a
supportive family of designers and actors
that all work collaboratively to put up the
best show we can.”

“My absolute favorite part of the job is seeing kids get excited about history … I love to
chat with the kids and give them a little "scavenger hunt" in the museum—I'll assign each
child in a family a fact to find from different parts of the museum. More often than not,
they'll come find me after their visit and tell me the answers they found. Nothing is more
gratifying than helping kids learn in a fun way!” -Colleen Prior, 5 Years

“Working in the Finance Department I get
to see firsthand the tremendous support
that we receive from all across the country.
This support allows all of us here to pursue
our passions at a great intersection of
history, theatre, and education. I love
working for a place that fosters a culture of
creativity and unabashed expression.”

and HR Coordinator
“We get tons of visitors who are Lincoln enthusiasts and for whom visiting Ford's Theatre
is a check-mark on their bucket list. However, one visitor has always stuck in my mind.
A woman came to the site in my first year and a half on the job. She truly adored Lincoln
and was beside herself with the prospect of showing her respects in the place of his death
… I walked her through the theatre and museum. She was completely overwhelmed by
the experience and started to sob … Her appreciation was truly immense. These are the
moments that make me love working at Ford's Theatre.” -Lindsay Hill, 4 Years
