Statistics are also kept on trends in the types of cases
brought before the Family High Court and Magistrates’
Courts. Figure 6a indicates that Divorce matters have
accounted for a very high percent of matters presented in
the caseload of the Family High Court. For instance, in
2012/13, 2,400 or (90%) of the matters brought before the
Family High Court were related to divorce.
