Foreword
Assalamualaikum w.b.t and Salam Sejahtera
It is with great pleasure that i present to you the Students? Representative Council Annual
Report 2012/2013 Special Edition for Faculty of Law & International Relations (FUHA)
Council.
Over the years, the role of youth in nation building has taken a more central role than we
have ever envisaged. Youth, particularly the youth scholars that are us, have realized the
need for an injection of fresh, new ideas that is needed for a revitalized approach towards
nation building. Thus, out of the demand of such, i myself was encouraged to take a step
forward in realizing such aspiration in the sense of fighting for this research, innovation and
off-campus settlements portfolio. Even though this seat was aimed to be filled by the
postgraduate students, however due to the non involvement of postgraduate to be part of
the students? council, thus out of it comes as part of a challenge for me.
UniSZA is indeed moving out of its adolescent-stage of rebranding its product through the
countless effort of research and innovation. From being an agrarian university, we have
move forward and embraced the impending wave of national and internationalization. Our
insatiable desire for progress has propelled us towards becoming one of the most
competitive university in the country since 2013 and achieving the elusive status as a
developing university towards research and internationalization engagements with
established universities across the world.
As such, this has been the center pillar of this year?s Students? Representative Council to
ensure the students? activism movement continues to flourish over our time presiding in
office. We had continuously provided platforms across all disciplines and portfolios for
intellectual discourse amongst the movers and shakers of the country.
