with a Mission
Dear Friends of the Big Top:
Time once again to ref lect on the accomplishments of the last
year, while at the same time we gear up for the coming summer. That's
the beautiful circle of the Big Top: looking back at all of the magical
memories we made together while setting the scene to create more one-
of-a-kind gatherings with family, community and friends.
In 2018, over 32,000 concert-goers attended a Big Top event under
the big blue tent. We hosted the incomparable Jackson Browne, the
inspirational Brandi Carlile, the mind-blowing Blue Canvas Orchestra,
the ultra-smooth Temptations and many more stellar performers. We
continued our popular family series of diverse musical offerings and our
Native American Community Connections. Walk back through the year
with us in the pages of this retrospective and remember all of the great
times we had!
Big Top is blessed to have the love and support of a large family of
people who take ownership and pride in what's happening at the Big
Top. We have a tireless and stalwart Board of Directors which steers the
organization on our strategic path. We have the great talent of our BCO
musicians and Visuals Director. And we have an amazing staff who pulls
it all together. There are over a thousand people who donate their hard-
earned money and their valuable time to make it all work. Every person,
every hour and every dollar is necessary to keep the Big Top going
strong. THANK YOU for your part in this
amazing organization. It is because of
each of you that we continue to be able
to spread the joy of the arts, music, and
culture in the Northwoods. We'll see
you back at the hill very soon, and until
then, find us via the airwaves on Tent
Show Radio!

In October we lost a dear friend of the Big Top.
Larry Gansluckner joined the Big Top board in 2011,
and served as our Secretary since 2014. His love for
this organization was vast, his work on our behalf
was tireless, and his enthusiasm for our mission
was infectious. Thank you Larry for your dedication
to Big Top Chautauqua; you are greatly missed.
