Big TAP ChautauquaFest at Mt . Ashwabay
Over 500 people joined us on September 14th for the 3rd annual Big TAP ChautauquaFest and Fatty 5K at Mt . Ashwabay . It was a glorious fall day under the tent and on the trails !
Eighteen area restaurants and food providers offered samples at stations along the trails . Their fares ranged from crostini with goat cheese and peach mustard to apple pie with homemade ice cream . Regional distributers , breweries , and wineries filled the tent providing participants with all the samples they could drink , from Grogg to IPA ’ s . Live music from Hoff Stevens , the Howlin ’ Brothers , and Alpha City rocked the tent , and most tried their hand at Hammerschlagen and joined the silent auction . All proceeds of this great event benefited Big Top and the Mt . Ashwabay Ski and Recreation Area .
