OUR SILVER ANNIVERSARY YEAR
What a special year it was!
It started out on June 18 at our Silver Anniversary Celebration – a grand gala set under the striped canvas of the Big Top. Two hundred and ten guests dined on Wild Rice bison short ribs and trout at beautifully-set, linendraped tables. The scene was magical. Mary Rice thanked everyone for helping the Big Top celebrate its 25 th Anniversary and talked about the proud history of our organization. We toasted with wine and champagne and ended the feast with fresh gelato from DaLou’ s. And then the show began. The Blue Canvas Orchestra walked us back through 25 years of our favorite music and memories while fresh shiny faces smiled back at us from the big screen. Who were those youngsters anyway?
And now we start the next twenty-five years. Let’ s take the best of what we are forward into our next chapter. We’ ll add to that some new traditions, new shows, new ventures. We need all of you. Come with us – it will be a memorable and fantastic trip! Together we’ ll make sure that our children are celebrating the 50 th and 100 th Anniversaries. Long live Big Top Chautauqua!
