During FY2025, the Friends of Mount Auburn marked the 10th anniversary of our Artist-in-Residence program, and in that time our staff have worked with 27 artists across different disciplines of film, music, theater, dance, photography, painting, poetry and more to create site-specific works. In December 2024 we welcomed 16,000 guests over 10 nights of SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light, our most successful year to date. Mount Auburn became more welcoming to neighbors and digital visitors alike in May 2024 when we opened four new pedestrian entrances and launched a new website. Throughout the year, we welcomed visitors from near and far for thoughtful educational walks and to explore the Cemetery on their own. photo by Billy Hickey
