To support the massive clean-up and first aid efforts following Hurricane Maria, Mount Auburn Cemetery donated $5,000 to the “Massachusetts United for Puerto Rico Fund.” Wanting to further help the families of its colleagues, Mount Auburn staff took an additional step and created a private GoFundMe site for the collection of funds to assist employees directly impacted by the hurricane. The staff-driven effort raised $10,250, which was divided among twelve employees for the rebuilding their own homes or the homes of their family members.
